Our job as real estate professionals is to stay on top of what’s going on in the market, especially here in the Georgian Triangle area. Since the market changes from month to month, and even from week to week in some areas, we release a snapshot every month that reveals how home sales are doing in relation to months in previous years and in 2018 as a whole.
Compared with June 2017, the real estate market in the Georgian Triangle area was much slower in June 2018. For example, volume sales in June of this year were $85,727,028, which is a 21% decrease from June 2017. For 2018, total volume sales are at $436,327,010, which is 24% lower when compared with this time last year.
Another unique finding of this recent real estate snapshot is that homes are spending more time on the market than they were at this time last year. In June 2018, the average single-family home spent 46 days on the market, while the average condominium spent 42 days on the market.
We would be happy to go over the additional statistics included in this real estate snapshot and to give you information about the Georgian Triangle real estate market in general. Reach out to us today for qualified, individualized real estate advice!
