Homes for Sale in Meaford – One of Canada’s Safest Communities
The lovely town of Meaford nestles in the Georgian Bay between Blue Mountains and Owen Sound, Ontario. While some areas have changed significantly over the years, Meaford still boasts homes for sale from a bygone era due, in part, to the artisan community.
The hospital provides excellent services to the town and surrounding areas. Patients have access to a number of specialists, and Meaford has many clinics and general practitioners who offer a range of healthcare services. There is a high school and two elementary schools, while students taking post-secondary education can attend Georgian College.
One of the best reasons to look at homes for sale here, and one that attracts visitors from all over the country, is the Apple Pie Trail. There are 30 stops along the trail, which is ablaze with beautiful apple blossoms in the spring time. In winter, the aroma of growing apples changes to that of freshly baked apple pies.
Recently, Statistics of Canada published a report rating Meaford as the second safest Canadian community. For this, and a multitude of other reasons, many people are looking at homes for sale in Meaford. There has been an influx of baby boomers, as the area offers the ultimate in active lifestyles for them, and as already mentioned, good health care facilities.
